A Case of Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma

Abstract
Angiofibroma of the nasopharynx is rare and considered very important disease on Otolaryngology because of frequent severe bleeding during the operation.
A male patient, aged 24 years, was seen in our department complaining of gradually developing nasal obstruction, both sides and dull frontal headache for over 4 years duration.
On admission there was egg sized tumor in the right nasal cavity and epipharynx. Only epipharyngeal part of the mass was extirpated under general anesthesia by transpalatal approach. About a month later, the patient was, operated again for remained tumor of the nasal cavity by the tranantral approach.
The microscopic examination of the tissue revealed an angiofibroma.
Postoperative course was uneventiful, and no evidence of reccurence noted.
